AU PAIR CHINA PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

◆ Be between the ages of 18 and 28 years old

◆ Be a non-China citizen and live in a country Yohoo services
◆ Be not married
◆ Love children and have at least 200 hours of childcare experience
◆ Speak fluent English
◆ Have no criminal backgroun
◆ Have completed secondary school (high school or equivalent)
◆ Be in good health and be a non-smoker
◆ Be able to spend at least 2 months in China

The Au Pair in China Program offers a unique and enriching cultural exchange experience for young individuals who aspire to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of China while providing English tutoring childcare and cultural insight to a Chinese host family. As an au pair in China, you will have the opportunity to engage with Chinese traditions, learn Mandarin, and form lasting connections with your host family, all while experiencing the diverse and dynamic landscapes of this ancient and modern nation. Join us on a transformative journey that combines cultural exchange, language acquisition, and childcare, creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Complete Application Form, Hand in Supportive Documents

Our application is easy to complete. It consists of questions that will help your potential host family evaluate your skills and experience so they may decide if you're a good fit for their family.

Interview

Once you've completed the application and supplemental information, you will meet with a Yohoo interviewer. This interview will be an opportunity to discuss your background, skills, and motivations for wanting to be an au pair. It will also be an opportunity for Yohoo to assess your English language skills.

Match with a Host Family

After the interview, your profile will be placed in the matching pool to be matched with a host family. During the matching process, you work closely with your International Representative who assists with translation during your family interview and

Travel Arrangement

Yohoo will provide au pairs with the necessary documentation (invitation letters) to complete your visa application and assist you throughout the application process. Once you have receive your visa, we will book your flight and pick you up in the airport when arrive in China.

Experience China in the most authentic way possible – from the core of Chinese culture – with a Chinese host family!

Our Yohoo Au Pair China program is a safe and exciting way to explore China and learn Mandarin. As an Au Pair in China you will live with a Chinese family for 2 to 12 months and take part in their everyday life. This unique cultural exchange program gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Chinese culture and to see China from a deeper, more authentic perspective than is possible through tourism, business or other student exchanges.

Au Pair Duties

In addition to attending weekly Mandarin classes, au pairs in China provide basic childcare and English tutoring up to 30 hours per week but no more than 7 hours per day for your host children. An au pair's responsibilities are limited to childcare related tasks. Your duties may vary depending on your host children's needs.

As a Yohoo au pair in China you are always regarded a part of the family and the host will include you in their family activities. As a“family member”you will learn to share responsibilities and contribute to make life in the family easier with less hassle.

Therefore on top of providing care to the host siblings, you are always welcome to provide a helping hand in the times where families need, although generally you are not responsible for housework that does not relate to the children's or communal living areas.

You're sure to have an incredible adventure during your stay in the China. But to be on the safe side, we're also looking out for your health and well-being. That's why we provide you with comprehensive travel and accident coverage throughout your stay. So, when you need medical attention, you'll have peace of mind, knowing you have chosen a plan with quality coverage that's easy to use.
Cultural Activity

We organize cultural activities and excursions to enrich your understanding of Chinese traditions, art, and history. These experiences will help you immerse yourself in the local culture.You'll have the chance to connect with other au pairs and expatriates in China, fostering friendships and a support network.
Full Support

Support –You will receive support from your Local Coordinator and the Yohoo support team during your program term. Your Local Coordinator will visit you in the host family at least once a month to make sure everything goes well between you and your host family. Additionally, your Local Cordinator will keep close contact with you in daily life through Wechat message or calls.
2 Days Arrival Orientation Tour

We understand that you will be joining the program because you want to see and explore a different world. We work to help you relish as many bits of China as possible. To start with, you will be offered an orientation tour of Hangzhou, of your placement city and whereabouts you can explore during your holidays in China.
