WHAT AN AU PAIR IS
More than a guest.
Part of the family.
“Au pair” means “on equal terms.” You are not a domestic worker or a tourist. You join family life as a trusted older sibling: sharing your language, helping the children grow in confidence and learning from one another.
In return, your host family provides a private room, meals and a stable home base. Yohoo supports the relationship from the first interview to your final farewell.

Program fee
Yohoo does not charge the au pair a program fee. This does not mean every personal or travel expense is covered.
Pocket money
RMB 2,000 per month, alongside a private bedroom and daily meals with your host family.
International flights
Programs of three months or longer include round-trip international airfare, subject to the confirmed placement and travel arrangements.
Study & weekly rhythm
Usually 3–5 Mandarin class hours and approximately 30–35 hours of family contribution per week. Each participant has 1.5 days of rest per week; the exact timetable is agreed with the family.

Ask about flight booking or reimbursement, any fare limit, visa and document costs, insurance coverage, and what happens if a placement ends early.
